Matthew is a partner of our Employment team and advises on all areas of employment law. He works closely with his clients and is able to explain difficult and complex areas of law with simplicity.
Matthew’s practical solutions and approach result in very favourable outcomes for his clients, which has resulted in him having an enviable success rate at Tribunal. Matthew is very effective at negotiating, whether with ACAS or other Solicitors, and his strategy and approach often results in settlements that exceed his clients expectations.
Matthew regularly advises his clients on a variety of areas including grievances and dismissals including; gross misconduct, redundancy, poor performance and ill health. Matthew has experience of dealing with all areas of discrimination, particularly disability discrimination, which is often a key factor in dealing with long term absence issues.
Matthew has a particular interest in advising on employment rights associated with business sales/outsourcing (TUPE), dealing with executive level disputes and he has particular expertise in dealing with public interest disclosure (whistle blowing).
Matthew is a Member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
