Simon qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 at a leading City law firm.  During his career  he has worked for a number of other leading City law firms. He  was also in-house counsel for Hilton Hotels and practised as an Attorney at Law in the Cayman Islands. Prior to joining Downs, he was a partner in a Surrey law firm where he headed up their company commercial team.

 

His experience covers most aspects of corporate and commercial law, in particular structured finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganisations.  He is also active in the healthcare sector, primarily with care homes and dentists.
