It goes without saying that managers and HR professionals will have had to tackle numerous pesky holiday pay calculations during their career. It would also not be an exaggeration to say that holiday pay queries are often regarded as the bane of one’s professional life and can even confuse those with a wealth of experience. Typical challenges include calculating holiday entitlement for atypical workers, accounting for bank holidays for part-time staff and trying to keep up with the constantly evolving case law regarding what aspects of a remuneration are deemed “normal pay” and therefore must be included in holiday pay.
In our next Employment Bitesize webinar series, we will address the basics of holiday entitlement and pay, and the relatively more complex precedents established by case law. We will then apply these pragmatically to worked examples.
