Dorking is the ‘spiritual’ home of Downs Solicitors; the firm was established here in 1836. Downs Solicitors also has offices across Surrey, including in Godalming, Cobham and also in London.

If travelling by train, note that Dorking has two stations serving the town.

South Western Railway

Dorking (main) station is approximately a 50-minute journey from London Waterloo.  

First Great Western

Dorking Deepdene station is on the line between Reading and Gatwick Airport (including Guildford). Both stations are proximate to one another. Taxis into the town centre depart from Dorking (main) station and will take just a couple of minutes. If travelling by car, exit from Junction 9 of the M25, and then continue on to the A24 towards Dorking, turn right at the junction of the A24/A25 into town.

Alternatively, exit from Junction 10 of the M25 and then continue on the A25 towards Dorking, going straight over the A24/A25 junction into town. From Guildford, use the A25 and from Gatwick use the A217 and A25.

Parking is straightforward as there are a number of pay and display car parks near to the office. The nearest public car parks are:

Dorking is also well served by a reliable bus service.
Visit the Surrey County Council website for the Bus Timetables. The White Horse bus stop is very close to our office in Dorking and there are services that come in from Chessington, Crawley, Epsom, Horsham, Guildford, Leatherhead, Kingston, Redhill and Reigate.
